Downtown is the hardest place in the city to do this job well, and it has almost nothing to do with the junk. It is elevators, docks, laneways and parking.
The core is condos and offices stacked on top of a street grid that was not designed for trucks. A downtown job lives or dies on logistics: whether the service elevator is booked, whether the loading dock is free, whether there is anywhere legal for a truck to stop on a permit-parking street, and whether the laneway behind the building is wide enough to turn in.
Mixed in with the towers is Toronto's oldest housing stock — Victorian and Edwardian semis through Cabbagetown, Little Italy, Trinity Bellwoods and the Annex. Narrow staircases with a turn at the bottom, no side access, and a sofa that came in before the wall went up.
Downtown is the one area where we genuinely need the details in advance: the building's dock and elevator process, the clearance if it is underground, and where a truck can legally stop. Give us that and the job runs smoothly. Leave it out and it usually does not.

We do all the lifting — from the basement, the balcony, the locker or the loading dock, not from the curb — and we sweep up before we leave. Everything is sorted afterwards: usable furniture and household goods toward donation and reuse, metal, cardboard and electronics to recycling, and what is genuinely finished to a licensed transfer station.

Yes, it is a large part of what we do. The photos on this site taken in underground levels and loading bays are that work. We will need the elevator booking window and any certificate of insurance the building requires.
Tell us the address when you book and we will work it out beforehand - a laneway, the building dock, or a legal loading zone. It is the single most common downtown problem and it is solvable if we know in advance.
